Worsley Bridge Road is seeing hundreds of new high rise homes being built near to the station. Proximity will encourage new commuters to the station. Some will want to use a hire bike to cover the last mile.
Southeastern Railway are responding to a Lewisham Council report to extend the provision of bike parking to more stations including Lower Sydenham with the note:
“[This and other] locations will be subject to further review including site visits and feasibility designs before being published for statutory consultation”.
Will Southern/TfL take note. Our main station Sydenham has car parking but no bike parking (hired or otherwise). Not very multimodal.
